When I was in high school, my friend, Glory, got pregnant; she dropped out of school. Devastated, she feared she'd never achieve her potential. But thanks to the 1993 Readmission policy by the @MAlawiGovt, 5 years later, Glory re-enrolled in Year 12, with no stigma, & graduated.

Governments in South Asia are making tangible gains to address adolescent pregnancy and empower girls across South Asia. We know what works. But all partners must come together to scale up and expand reach to the most marginalized girls, including young mothers, fast.

UNICEF Maldives is empowering "Climate Guardians" to spearhead climate resilience initiatives throughout the Maldives.  Through this program, UNICEF supports youth in driving impactful environmental actions and fostering sustainable practices. 🌱

Children are more likely to suffer from air pollution, as their immune systems are weaker than that of adults. It puts them at greater risk of asthma and pneumonia, which inflame young lungs, impeding brain development and affecting mental health and immunity.
