The end of the most fantastic week on the Manchester Post Basic Dysphagia Course. Brain is suitably full to the brim with information. Such an amazing course taught by two skilled, engaging & very humorous SLTs. Excited & nervous to take on a more dysphagia heavy caseload. Eek.

Collected my badge and start my first job as a fully qualified SLT in Neuro Rehab today 😊 What a surreal feeling after 4 years, not going in as a student on placement anymore. So excited for the journey that lays ahead #NHS #MySLTDay

I went for my first B5 job interview today with the CNRT. Beyond excited to say that I got the job and I start in September! Working with people in a neuro setting has always been a dream role, I can't quite believe it's happening. So thrilled :-) #SLT2B #MySLTDay

Last ever uni assignment handed in, SLT degree done! What a challenging 4 years it has been, so tough but so very worth it. Can't wait for that HCPC registration to come through so I can finally start the dream job as a fully qualified Speech and Language Therapist 😀 #MySLTday

Significant #ParkinsonsDisease research breakthrough by @MichaelJFoxOrg A discovery of a new biomarker that can detect dysfunction in the protein that goes haywire in PD. As someone who's mum was recently diagnosed with PD, this discovery is phenomenal. thelancet.com/journals/laneu…

The role of a speech and language therapist 🙋‍♀️. If I had £1 everytime someone asked "Oh you're doing speech and language therapy that's awesome.. what is it that you do?" 🤣 instagram.com/sophtheslt
