Derek nuzzled against the larger tiger, keeping one hand around the waist as he did what he could to comfort Oscar. "Good thing I was here when it happened, but had I been with you the entire time, who knows would could have went down."

Derek held a hand on the tiger’s shoulder, trying to comfort him during his time of despair. “… I’m sorry. Doom has to pay for what he did.”

At least Derek was attending to the wounds of the tiger, getting out a first aid kit and dealing with Oscar's injuries. "So tell me, what exactly happened to you out there?"
