"Coaching is teaching. The best teachers are efficient with their words. I put a lot of thought into making complex concepts as simple as possible. The more players have to think, the slower they play. Make it simple, efficient, & fun so guys can play fast." - Jim Leonhard

Still one of my all time favorites. Perfect finale to end a really outstanding series.

The final scene of The Wonder Years took place on the Fourth Of July and man it hits hard.

Always cool to see guys who balled out in football playing in the state basketball tournament-- Gilbert from Arrowhead, Wagner from KM, Novotny from Marquette, and many more. No reason to only play 1 sport in HS. #wisbb

When I was a kid I was lucky enough to see Eddie Feigner play when he came to my home town. My dad had seen him as a kid. He was in his 60s and was still phenomenal.

Eddie Feigner striking out Hall of Famers: Willie Mays Harmon Killebrew Willie McCovey Roberto Clemente That between the legs fastball to Mays. 😲

I'm among so many whose lives were touched by the positive influence of Coach Marsh. clinehansonfuneralhome.com/obituary/rando…

Congratulations to Coach Mike Minnick. I was fortunate to him as my coach for 3 sports seasons in a row as a FR/SO (JV Baseball, Football & Basketball) when he was just starting his career.

I'm so disappointed that I had to miss this, but great to see all the smiling faces. Great job by all involved!

Here are a few great shots from our Inspire Football Camp last night. There was undeniable energy from the participants, including our very own manager, Jon Klitzke! HUGE thank you to @Lucas_Jadin and @inspiresportswi for setting up such a great event!

"Good effort by Connaughton to draw that foul" He literally ate an elbow thrown into his face. Not exactly an effort play.

A good lesson for life as a whole here. As long as you stay motivated and open to improve you will.

The thing about a dissertation is while you’re writing it it feels like it is going to be your magnum opus because nothing you’ve done before has ever been this hard. But stay in academia and you’ll soon realize it’s the worst thing you’ll ever write. Because *you* improve.

Those who know me know I tend to push back on how important trophies are in youth sports. That said it was a fun weekend. 😀

Rules question - I know the "aiding the ball carrier" isn't called any more. But why isn't that a block in the back?

I enjoy his insight into the finer points of catching, but this is a great thread on "make-up". I tend to be harsh on bad attitude. But Jerry's point about recognizing there may be a greater capacity for change than you think is great. Maybe they haven't been challenged on it yet

EVALUATING & DEALING WITH MAKE-UP Recruiting is really hard if you don’t know the athlete. I’m not talking about the physical tools. That’s relatively easy especially evaluating now tools. Projecting those physical tools is not as easy. The real tough side is evaluating makeup.

Football has made great strides in player safety, though the NFL seems to have regressed a bit lately. Players at all levels should see this, one of my favorite things about this sport on display here - caring about & looking out for your teammates.

A failure by the concussion spotter. DeVante Parker could not stand up straight after hitting the ground. Nelson Agholor took a knee and was flailing desperately to try to get the play stopped for Parker.
