You're correct of course Ben but the behaviour of @BBCNews is exlained very easily by this picture.
It's increasingly clear that by repeatedly platforming Reform UK at the expense of other political parties, a party with 5 MPs, @BBCNews is more interested in making the news, and fostering divisive politics, than reporting it. It's a very poor interpretation of the BBC Charter.
Is the BBC an active agent of the Reform party? It gives Reform wholly disproportionate coverage for a party of 5 MPs. There are 71 LDs, 9 SNP, 4 Greens, 4 Plaid Cymru, 121 Conservatives and 404 Labour. But BBC endlessly gives Reform a platform. @BBCNews @DCMS @Ofcom
Why Anderson? Why not someone from, say, the Greens who have about the same number of MPs? Why is the BBC continually platforming a party whose sole objective time and again is to make bad situations infinitely worse.
