Sacramento also does two things: 1) severs any chance of backsliding and staying in Oakland; and 2) gives Fisher an escape route should teacher proposal sink funding in NV.
Sacto tried to get MLB before. Started building a stadium by Arco. Outline still remains.
MLB 1,000% is done with Oakland and trialing and then adding a team to Sacto would close the door. It’s enough space from Giants and makes the idea of three teams between Bay Area and Sacto ludicrous.
Know that because the Rivercats are a #SFGiants farm team, #Athletics had to get approval from them to relocate to Sacto and offer compensation due to owning territorial rights. Giants are 100% complicit.
