An incredible amount of rain fell across portions of northeast Vermont overnight. Here's a zoomed in view of the reports we've tallied. The highest amount of 8.41" was recorded by one of our CoCoRaHS observers in St. Johnsbury.
Here is the first look at rainfall totals from July 10th and July 11th, 2024 (not to get confused with the same dates last year). We will continue to refine the map throughout the day so stay tuned! #vtwx #nywx

UPDATED SNOWFALL MAP! I've made a few tweaks to our map after looking at today's models, the biggest changes are for S. Vermont and Essex County (NY) where mixing won't cut totals as much as initially thought! Get the shovel ready!
I know there are a mix of opinions on snow this late in the year... Snow picks up late Friday and continues through Saturday, with snowfall rates of 1-2" per hour. Travel will be difficult at times, it's the perfect day to stay hunkered down with a good book and a pot of soup!
