The thrust: Denver leaders are proposing a .5% sales tax increasing — 5 cents on every $10 purchase — to fund more housing vouchers, bridge loans for construction projects and much more.
This is a change. I’m at Denver city hall where Mayor Mike Johnston and City Council are expected to introduce a proposed sales tax hike to fuel affordable housing projects in the city. And there are a ton of people here to back the possible ballot measure.
