Today Humberside Fire Brigade attended our school. Many topics were covered such as: Arson, bonfire night safety, house fires, aerosol dangers. We discussed the job of a firefighter. Lots of discussions held and questions asked by students.

Students enjoyed a careers visit to Blundell Park today. They were informed of the many job opportunities and apprenticeships available to them when they leave school. We had a tour around the park and had a chance to see the pitch from a box. #raisingaspirations

A great day out for our rewards trip and SEMH time for Isaac class. Students enjoyed bowling (including de-escalating massages) followed by an SEMH walk and discussions and ending with a meal at the Oriental Express. A great and positive way to end the summer term.

RNLI came to visit students today. They demonstrated how to save someone and also discussed the risks of swimming in lakes. They provided insight into the job they do and their role within our community.

Our students enjoyed a visit from the Army. They were introduced to the various job roles available and the paths to achieve them. They then enjoyed practical activities which they engaged positively with, great communication and team work!

Students took part in an enterprise project within our careers subject. They created a product and produced a presentation which they delivered to staff. Our female student won a salon prize for her product creation!
