I attended a training session with Colin last week and he was fantastic! Very informative and gave real depth to his knowledge of ADHD. Thank you 😊
Hey SEND National Crisis - Wales SEN Action Group(@SendWales), thank you for following me
@PCamhs @SendWales Autism and ADHD 'not being spotted' as exclusions rise bbc.com/news/uk-wales-…
nypost.com/2020/02/01/tho… Just heartbreaking, not only for the fact the children were abused without being believed, but that this was allowed to happen. Lessons must be learned from appalling tragedies like this @2020_send @neiljmcevoy
❤️
politicshome.com/news/uk/educat… Not just educational funding for #SEND, but also diagnostic pathways for #Autism & #ADHD, & processes to challenge so complex + hidden that even the most tenacious parents/carers can’t secure correct support.
This excluding of parents is very concerning!
This is becoming increasingly commonplace which is worrying. I was also asked whether schools and LAs should be meeting without parents regarding EHCP. This was discovered after freedom of information requests. Excluding parents is not the way to go
m.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/holocaus… Let us not forget those who were victims just because they were disabled @2020_send
Absolutely Disgusting!
This will not help relationships between parents and teaching staff. It’s very offensive and inflammatory
It seems to me that Social Workers are deciding on what parents can and cant have from a Support Perspective!
I have noticed that social workers are adverse to the word ‘respite ‘ and that they feel that parents shouldn’t be wanting a break from their children because they are not an imposition. parents are not suggesting they are an imposition
@insidehousing @CardiffCityFC so in Cardiff and mum with a little boy - cannot bathe him bc property cannot be adapted - can be bring this to the public eye! Failing a child with disabilities @SendWales @DisabilityNow @DisRightsUK @chelsie_gibson @cardiffuni
eventbrite.co.uk/e/pda-action-b… For anyone in the Midlands Black Country who would like to attend the PDA protest, we would love to see as many faces as possible. There is a huge lack of awareness of PDA, please join us if you can
For me this is very concerning!
This says everything! This is why training and research is so important for all professionals working with children and adults with SEND @2020_send
Thank you 😊 still so much to do and looking forward to everyone being able to contribute to the objectives

Our 2020 Send injustice campaign seeks to challenge the injustices faced by children and adults with a disability, as well as the stigma and discrimination to their families.
I keep expecting professional people to be shocked, and am relieved that you are, by people's experiences. They aren't even surprised, which suggests horror stories are all too common.
Reading through some of your experiences demonstrates not only injustice, but the most appalling attitudes towards disability and parents with a disability, by professionals, that I have encountered in modern times. It’s extraordinary
