On a cold, rainy, fall night in the #Seattle area, nothing warms us more than a #Cantonese #claypot chicken dish from Papa Lau (madewithlau.com). Thanks, as always, for the #recipe! Congrats on ⁦⁦@beardfoundation⁩ Award, too! #yummy #comfortfood #Chinesefood #USA

Headline from Washington Post op-ed section by Washington Post op-ed writer about the Washington Post op-ed section and the Washington Post: “For The Post, the wrong choice at the worst possible time.” The company once said: Democracy Dies in the Darkness. #journalism #democracy

I grew up throwing #newspapers to earn money (I’d read it each day, too). I entered #journalism and worked for newspapers (RIP #Seattle Post-Intelligencer). I’m in a brave, new world of #technology and rapid digital #change. I’m still happy to see print newspapers. #community

When I moved to the #Seattle area years ago, I was surprised when people said they drive long distances with food and sleeping bags in the car and wear neon yellow safety vests at night. As the season gets chillier, darker, I understand why. My family and I do the same. #winter
