Winter weather outside…means it’s college hoops season inside. At the Barn to see Hamline and the Gophs. Former Windom standout Henry Erickson, son of my old teammate Juhl, playing for Hamline. And since they aren’t playing my Johnnies, I can say, Go Pipers.

Most 17-year-olds are going back to high school at the end of August, but Bob Feller was anything but average. Making his first major league start #OTD in 1936, the Heater from Van Meter pitched a complete game and struck out 15 batters. ow.ly/K3nC50T4ROQ

Very nice to be back in the box in Bozeman with the working stiffs. Thank you @blamberty Many fine athletes on display for Cats, but I believe my old pal @Flintrass and his pretty gals Paige and Shelby are the best of the bunch. So good to see them.

Great to see my good friend Scott today!

Very proud of my old pal, Jimmy.

Former @MLB player and @stcloudstate alumnus Jim Eisenreich once struggled with Tourette syndrome, but now finds peace helping others. The former @SCSUHuskies_BB standout said his story is "just one of many." #OurSCSU theathletic.com/4755552/2023/0…

Why can’t they wear their regular uniforms? Who are the dorks making these terrible decisions?

Scott Mansch Reposted

One of the great aspects of the @MLB All-Star Game was seeing all of the players of other teams in their uniforms. It's inexplicable to me that MLB has done away with this great tradition, and the AL and NL now wear these ridiculous things. If you'd like to see MLB keep using…

What it looks like watching the #MNTwins this year. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Fresh off of pitching for Alabama in the College World Series, Al Worthington beat Pipestone in his Fulda Giants debut on this date in 1950. He no-hit Wilmont nine days later. Worthington went on to a very good major league career, including with the #MNTwins from 1964 to '69.
