Ever wondered if a game used Burst (docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.u…) , we had.. and now thanks to @steamdb, we have an answer : steamdb.info/tech/SDK/Unity…

Given that I'm staring at a progress bar for making a build and have not yet really talked about what I think is cool about Unity 2022.2, which has recently entered beta, it's time for a thread!

Great to see progress on cores like this, even if it's just for historical / preservation reasons. The Konix Multisystem has an interesting story. youtube.com/watch?v=Q8ymqK…

Friday reminder, for all @unity developers, that you can use and leverage the Burst compiler in your Unity project (from Unity 2019+), even if you are not using DOTS Entities. You might have some computational code that you could offload to Burst, give it a try! 💥

LSI L5A1364 (1989) Another revision of the prototype graphic processor of the unreleased Konix multi system game console Special thanks to @KonixSlipstream for lending the chip and to @johndmcmaster for imaging and stitching this 1 gigapixel shot: siliconpr0n.org/map/konix/l5a1…

Time for a progress update on the Konix FPGA work.. yes it's now running on hardware rather than just in simulation. More work needed before camels will run. You can follow the progress on my discord ( discord.gg/YHePVGP ) #KonixMultisystem #MiSTerFPGA

Thrilled to announce we have formed a C#/.NET Tech Group within Unity, bringing Scripting (C# compilation, .NET Runtime integration...), Burst & VM/IL2CPP teams all together to further standardize, modernize, and innovate with .NET technologies within the Unity platform! ♥️

I'm back working on the Konix Multisytem again. This time I've recreated the Slipstream chip in verilog, based on the original Net Lists. You can follow the progress in #slipstream on discord.gg/YHePVGP MiSTer version incoming? (maybe) #KonixMultisystem #MiSTerFPGA

RenderDoc Metal : looks like I have all the resource creation data captured and resources being re-created during replay (minor complexity with MTLTexture). Next I need to capture the VertextBuffer bytes.

Breaking silence for a minor milestone. It may not look like much, but this is the first time I sent and received an arp request on my custom X64 kernel (via usb 3 ethernet adapter). Made more complicated by the fact i went and made a language and compiler in order to do this.

Took a break from compilers and emulators to have a go at a game jam last week.. controls are retro/terrible but feel free to check it out along with the other entries : savoury-snax.itch.io/cavern-rescue-… itch.io/jam/udc-jam-17…
