Born on this day in 1925: Iwao Takamoto, who designed Scooby-Doo (& hundreds of other characters). Takamoto was forcibly incarcerated in a concentration camp as a teen due to his Japanese ancestry. He was hired at Disney in 1945 while his parents & siblings were still interned.
