The Spirit leads us away from the Law, & convicts us that we are righteous and holy, as a gift, on account of Christ, crucified and resurrected.

In Hebrews 13:17, some English Bibles tell us to “obey” those who “rule over” us in the church. These are very unfortunate translations. In the Greek, the verb translated “obey” is in the middle voice and means to “be persuaded.” Yet it is often wrongly translated in the active…

Men who cannot hear the gospel when a woman preaches it cannot hear it when a man preaches it either. They don't have selective hearing. They simply do not have ears to hear.

During sabbatical I promised to say yes to every childlike instinct. When I returned to work I could no longer tell the difference between my childlike instincts and the prompts of the Holy Spirit. It wrecked and rebuilt my life. So I wrote about it. amazon.com/Unfettered-Ima…

2 Corinthians 3:6, He has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter (law), but of the Spirit. For the letter (law) kills, but the Spirit gives life. sarahbatdorf.com/2024/08/13/the…

A mind that is convicted of being righteous and holy as a gift on account of Christ crucified and resurrected, is a mind set on the Spirit. A person walking in the Spirit.

Hearing how God is pleased with us on account of Christ’s merits encourages us to keep living the Christian life by faith in the Son of God who loves us and gave Himself for us. sarahbatdorf.com/2021/11/12/del…

The Holy Spirit + the 10 commandments don't go together. New laws for a new covenant: The law of faith The law of the Spirit of life in Christ The perfect law of freedom In Christ we are forgiven+ free 🕊️

The essence of working with trauma survivors is about bearing witness to their story and suffering, entering in and demonstrating in the flesh the heart of our God toward them and the evil they experienced. In doing so you bring to their lives a reversal of the dynamics of abuse.

We are the Holy ones, on account of Christ crucified and resurrected.

I used to think repentance was "stop sinning" according to the law that was given through Moses. I was wrong. The law deceived me until the veil was removed from my heart.

I affirm women in all roles of ministry leadership on the following basis: 1. Women arguably play every such role in Scripture except one. That's the OT priestly role that Hebrews 7 says is definitively fulfilled in Christ (so doesn't apply to this conversation).

My spirit is in union with the Holy Spirit. 🤍🤍🤍

One night, several months ago, my husband and I were walking from the car to the house. He astonished me by saying, “I don’t want you to submit to me. I will submit to you.” @Bill_DeHeretic Quote from @MuiRebekah sarahbatdorf.com/2024/06/05/sub…

When we are forgiven, we become holy. Holiness is a gift. When we are holy, we are Christ-like. Righteousness, Holiness, & Christ-likeness are gifts, on account of Christ crucified and resurrected. This is apart from our behavior. And that is what we don't like about it.
