Annual Salvation Army, Rotary Club food drive coming up this weekend in St. John's: ntv.ca/annual-salvati… On Sat Oct. 26 10a-4p, Rotarians will collect food items and monetary donations at Sobeys on Ropewalk Lane, Paradise, Torbay Road, and Dominion on Lake Avenue.

After a local community kitchen was a victim of theft, The Salvation Army in Grand Falls-Windsor, N.L., stepped up to offer support. “In Newfoundland, whenever something happens, everybody comes together,” says Major Fred Pond, corps officer. Read more: salvationist.ca/articles/kitch…


"The Muskrat Falls camp has been safely re-opened as an additional shelter for Labrador City evacuees. The shelter will be administered by the Canadian Red Cross, and supported by The Salvation Army, Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada, and St. John Ambulance."
