We love this graphic from @DroughtCenter! It is just as important to educate yourself and prepare for drought when we are in one as well as when the water may not be as scarce. Our water resources are precious and we can be mindful of our usage despite our stage of drought.
After receiving some rain we joined a few of our virtual fencing researchers as they checked their sampling sites. Each site is equipped with an H flume and a refrigerated sampler used to collect runoff that is later tested for bacteria, nutrients, and sediment.
Our PEER2PEER project's major concerns are looking at transboundary water scarcity, climate change, emerging technologies for transboundary water management, and data scarcity by building a network of collaborating researchers, economists, legislatures, and elected officials.
