A 🧵 on how I ended up on SaaS...

Why are people flexing that their SaaS has no employees? How is that a flex? That you suck at managing people? #saas #indiehackers #b2bsaas

Less MRR posts and more profit posts pls

Is it me or is Reddit where all the whiners gather to whine, bitch and moan?

“I made a saas last week and it’s already making 10k mrr” Seeing a lot of shit like this lately. Did the ecom gurus move over to SaaS?

Section 174 workaround found: Tell the IRS AI is writing all the code #section174

Annoying #saas customer support: I asked for help, got it, solved my problem. Now you are asking me if it's solved so you can "close the ticket". How about you check in your product analytics whether I solved it or not and not make me do your job for you.

Using AI to generate blog posts is like pissing in your pants. For a while it's nice and warm. Then it's just cold and wet.

Annual plans are risky as an early-stage SaaS founder, because they might delude you into thinking you've got PMF. Monthly plans keep the team on their toes. #b2bsaas #saas #bootstrapping

Men "looksmaxxing" is ghey af

VC's desperately need young & naive founders to believe that a lot of problems in a startup can be solved with funding. "Oh this customer needs SOC2? Hm yeah you should probably raise money to pay for that" "Unable to keep up with feature parity? Need to raise, hire more devs"

"Bootstrapping is cool again" is just 🧢 because you can't raise on 2021 terms any more.

Now that bootstrapping is cool again I'm seeing all kinds of "bootstrapper-friendly" investors and funds pop up. This is just the VC model in different packaging. The goal is the same - to inject themselves into your cap table and get leverage. Founder beware.

Well done to America on the Tiktok ban. Countries that don’t respect freedom shouldn’t get to enjoy the benefits of freedom.

Sales and marketing is fucking easy if you're not selling crap

About gross profit margins in SaaS: Use 3rd party vendors for quickly getting MVP to market. Then replace all of them with self-hosted open source alternatives to maximise profit margin.

If a LLM can take your software engineering job it wasn't for you anyway

Product-market fit is a process, not a destination.
