Hi, I’m Ronen 🤪 I give takes about the gaming industry, game design & UE5 tips 🕹️ Join my journey from indie game developer to full-fledged gaming studio

From sketching out characters to mapping entire worlds—nothing exists in a vacuum. You need something real to twist into your own creation. No shame in borrowing when it’s what takes your work to the next level.

#References are the glue that holds the #vision together. Without them, you're just scribbling in the dark. And they don’t just inspire—they get the whole #team vibing on the same wavelength, like a shared map that keeps everyone on track.

I used to think ideas just happened, that they'd hit you out of nowhere like some kind of divine inspiration. Spoiler alert: that's not how it works. You wanna build worlds that hit hard? You need #references. Real ones. Things you’ve seen, felt, lived through.

#Blockmesh is where the ideas hit the page—no details, no distractions, just pure, raw structure.

Sometimes, starting from nothing is the best way to see everything. Like how blank spaces can drive people insane or make them feel calm.

#Grayboxing is where the chaos turns into clarity. It’s the foundation, the skeleton that lets you shape something raw into something real without drowning in the details too soon.

Moving out for the second time as an adult. This time to a bigger apartment, and it’s hella annoying. Exhausted 😪

Your irl character can be shaped through gameplay

It’s weird how badly people try to win in games, but never as badly in life.

#NewProfilePic starting my journey, it’s about to get big
