Proud and beyond thrilled to be joining the @QueensOBGYN family in July! #CaRMSMatch #carms2021
It was a memorable and emotional ceremony - Queen’s unveiling of the plinth honouring Black medical students that were at the center of the color ban. They were rubbed of their future, their existence at Queen’s buried and erased!Yesterday their names were called one by one.
Emergency C section. Blood loss equivalent to 8 billion cataract surgeries
If we cancel all student debt, ppl will want medical debt forgiven. If we cancel medical debt, they're going to want free healthcare. If we give them that, they'll want us to house the homeless. Then everyone's going to want a living wage. The whole society will fall apart.
Excellent presentation by @DrAWaddington on intimate partner violence. It can be difficult for trainees to inquire about these issues, thanks for helping us with these suggestions 👇
Finishing my first ever 26 hour shift without a minute of sleep just to find these gems in the residents’ room. @QueensOBGYN truly is the best! Thanks @luongsusan 🥰
So impressed by the amazing women journalists, their questions, and the demand for accountability in tonight’s #debate2021 #Elxn44

Super excited for today’s important session on Antiracism in Global Health! Thank you @CUGH_TAC @CUGHnews for offering us such a thought provoking subject #GH #CUGH2021
Why is ending racism a debate?
Racism is a public health crisis. Anti-Blackness is a public health crisis. Police brutality is a public health crisis. Medicine, as a profession, is entirely political. Our duty to advocate for our patients include speaking up against injustice. #WhiteCoatsForBlackLives
Race doesn't cause inequity. Racism causes inequity.
It's a privilege to learn about racism instead of experiencing it your whole life.
George Floyd and I were both arrested for allegedly spending a counterfeit $20 bill. For George Floyd, a man my age, with two kids, it was a death sentence. For me, it is a story I sometimes tell at parties. That, my friends, is White privilege.
Thrilled to be part of this amazing team! @CUGHnews
Congratulations to the @CUGHnews Trainee Advisory Committee for 2020-2021! We're looking forward to a very productive & collaborative year with this diverse group of 25 students from around the world coming together to address #globalhealth issues! @keithmartinmd @DalalNajjar1
"Lack of diversity and gender representation in decision-making means perspectives of some of the most vulnerable communities are left out." Our new @GlobalHealthBMJ comment: bit.ly/35GSt0o @sulzhan @Arush_Lal @devisridhar @Inaguruguru & @RoopaDhatt
