For what it’s worth, the only large scale organization I’ve seen doing cleanup work in #WNC has been Samaritan’s Purse. I drove by 30 of their volunteers yesterday chainsawing trees and cleaning debris off a disabled couple’s home. Was heartwarming to see.
While several miles remain closed due to damage from #HeleneNC, crews continue to make progress on I-40 through the Pigeon River Gorge.
