Always remember to prioritize your health over your work. Too many devs hurt themselves by burning out to reach arbitrary self imposed deadlines. You matter more. #RobloxDevAdvice

Plan before you do. Surprisingly, most people just rush right into the thick of it. Unsurprisingly, they end up with a mess and have to plan and refactor it later anyway. #RobloxDevAdvice

Everyone dreams big, but it's important to start small and realistically. Your first game should be something reasonably achievable. As you gain experience, you'll be able to go create that game you've always wanted! #RobloxDevAdvice

Don't reinvent the wheel! Always check if someone else has solved your issue before you! You might find a guide or open source work that can greatly help you. Using this isn't "cheating", it's effective and efficient. #RobloxDevAdvice

It's easy to be overwhelmed by large projects. Focusing on one chunk at a time can help you overcome the fear of working. Don't say, "I need to make this complex movement control system." Instead, you can say, "I'm going to make the double jump mechanic today." #RobloxDevAdvice

Revisit your old code. You certainly improved since you wrote it, and you'll find ways to improve it. Doing this often helps your game's code stay similarly styled as well as efficient. #RobloxDevAdvice

Error handling is as important as the primary function of a program. Sanitize your inputs, and make sure it won't all come crashing down if you get a network failure or unexpected argument. Your game should not stop working entirely because of a small error. #ROBLOXDevAdvice

Don't fret about what you know. Focus on what you can learn. #ROBLOXDevAdvice

Make sure to ask yourself why your game stands out. If you wouldn't play it over the competition, why would anyone else? #ROBLOXDevAdvice

Reading code written by experienced programmers is an excellent way to learn technique and procedure. #ROBLOXDevAdvice

Challenging yourself with small projects is a great way to increase your skills and knowledge in areas you might not have honed if you'd only done your main project. #ROBLOXDevAdvice

If you're struggling with your main project, taking on a small, fun side project for a couple days can prove beneficial. It'll help you clear your head and practice new skills. #RobloxDevAdvice

Always save copies of your code. You never know when having a backup can come in handy. Better to have it but not use it than to need it but not have it. #ROBLOXDevAdvice

Keep your code organized. Comment on it clearly, and make sure your variables are aptly named. This will help you later when you have to read your code again! #ROBLOXDevAdvice

First make a working prototype. It doesn't have to be pretty, it has to work. Once you have that, you can make it look nice and run fast. If you try to make it fast and pretty from the get go, you might not get it done at all! #ROBLOXDevAdvice

Enter contests. The impending deadline is a great motivator. #RobloxDevAdvice

The more you learn, the faster you learn. It's an exponential growth, so best get started! #ROBLOXDevAdvice
