It was humbling and devastating to read out names of some of our loved ones who died from Covid at the Inquiry today. So so many lost.
We began campaigning for this Inquiry over three years ago. In that time thousands of bereaved families have made enormous sacrifices in the hope that lessons could be learned from our losses, so that others wouldn’t have to go through the same awful experiences.

As someone bereaved by Covid, thank you. The @covidinquiryuk needs to hear from people who were on the front line and those with lived experience.
Thank you to the many thousands of people across the whole of the NHS & social care who helped deliver the care during the pandemic. Has been a strange and difficult day. But felt it was important to give witness to some small part of the enormity of the challenge we all faced.
While a pandemic would always put pressure on the NHS, the scenes ‘from hell’ described by Kevin Fong were not inevitable, can never be considered acceptable, and must never be repeated.

Huge anti-fascist demo in N. Finchley. I felt uncomfortable there for past hour knowing there were people around me who don't like me or want me there but I had to be there to show solidarity with refugees + local Muslim community. There was a real edge though #refugeeswelcome
North Finchley tonight - one of the places the far right were expected - outnumbered massively by anti-racism protesters. Heavy police presence but largely calm.
Great vibe in Finchley, couple of thousand standing up to racism together and making it clear the far right have no place on these streets.
