@RidleyN1555Reformer. Martyr. “We shall this day light a candle by God’s grace that shall never be put out”
A man who has no idea what’s happening to the German economy, motor of the EU. 👇
We’re drowning, there’s a life buoy, and we’ve decided we don’t need it as we’re re-setting our relationship with water.
So glad this pathetic fool was resoundingly defeated.
A great shame that Labour decided to whip the vote on my amendment in order to keep bishops in the House of Lords. A majority of Brits are in favour of removing the Bishops and this is clearly a matter of conscience. Why wasn't it a free vote? telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/11/1…
First thing Starmer’s done that I agree with!

For the avoidance of any doubt, the Vote Leave ally and Friend of Cummings that Shippers mentions is surely @MrLeeCain ? Isn’t he the one who leaked the Allegra video, who worked on a grid of stories with Cummings to bring down a democratically elected PM? As I already wrote in…

This is exactly the wrong analysis. Ally yourself with your closest ally and supreme military power
Closer ties with the EU are now an absolute priority. independent.co.uk/news/uk/politi…
Being lectured by this clown on truthfulness is similar to being lectured by Pablo Escobar on morality.
Voters were wrong to support Trump. People will tell you this isn't a helpful thing to say. But our role right now isn't to be helpful. It is to be truthful tinyurl.com/5x9hmss7

Rory’s biggest weakness is his lack of generosity to Republican voters. He may not agree with them but they think an unborn child dies in an abortion; that kids shouldn’t be subject to confusing transgender ideology; that teacher unions shouldn’t control the fate of kids in inner…
We can empathise with voters + accept the result but Trump’s victory does not make his program or vision better. We were wrong to believe Kamala Harris would win. We were not wrong to believe that she should have won. Or that the values + vision that she represents can win again
The word "Even" is superfluous here. The bien-pensant class gravely underestimated the insidious implications of German dependence on Russian natural gas. Trump did not.
Even Trump knew that German politicians sold the country to Russia.
It’s pathetic, isn’t it? Really pathetic. They keep asking the same question and they repeatedly show by their actions that the answer is no.
Donald Trump was elected by Americans to defend the interests of Americans. The question we, as Europeans, must ask ourselves is, are we ready to defend the interests of Europeans?
He is the biggest loser of this election. His legacy is in tatters.
Here's our statement on the results of the 2024 presidential election:
For some people everything that happens is just an excuse for the UK to submit itself more thoroughly to the EU. 👇 Come off it.
So, the EU now has a far higher priority than the UK in the form of preparing for Trump, and the UK will lose one of the architects of the reset. A slight counter is Poland's H1 Presidency, but this should be a wake up call for the UK government to put more on the table.
Evening Rory ….
Journalists would like the US race to seem as close as possible - it suits their appetite for suspense and @afneil ‘s desire to prod the establishment. But this won’t be a close race decided by a “couple of thousand votes”. He is wrong. And Kamala Harris will win.
Rory Stewart is a nobody. Coveney is an MP and until recently was in Government. He should not be making comments like this particularly as a former Foreign Secretary. Proves the child that he is.
Not sure about a comfortable win, but this result prediction makes sense to me. We’ll find out tomorrow….
Have Labour already warned that there are only 24 hours to save the NHS?
Catching up on the BBC - Very worrying that @RepBrendanBoyle is as ignorant on American politics as he is on UK politics and Northern Ireland.
Someone who has been wrong about essentially everything through his career makes a big step into the dangerous game of US politics.

Reformation Day is a day to particularly celebrate one of the most potent acts of the Reformation - the restoration of the Cup to the laity in the Lord's Supper. In the words of Luther, "in simple compliance with the institution of Christ".
The budget… - Does nothing for growth - Pushes mortgages higher - Less employment - Cost and size of gvt so high as to constrain any private sector recovery That’s the OBR verdict. And it’s difficult for Rachel Revees to shrug off. My column:- telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/10/3…
