This is the song to describe my first 6 months of marriage. I wonder if anyone can relate. instagram.com/reel/C3_jhKwtV…

Why such sensitivity from FSU fans. If you win out you'll be IN the top 4 regardless. Who cares who's 1 or 2. Goal is to FINISH in top 4!

I wake up today feeling grateful. Grateful for every night we had a chance to watch this Orioles team together. For every Felix strikeout, every Adley hug, every Gunnar...everything. Grateful I could reasonably say "that's the best win of the year" about 30 times.

This season was an unforgettable journey. We couldn’t have done this without you, Birdland.

Speechless

This #WorldBaseballClassic could be turning point for baseball The joy of the fans The passion of the players Trout vs. Ohtani to end it You couldn’t ask for anything more This tournament was the best way to showcase the sport to so many people around the world

Always reminding myself to never take Shohei Ohtani for granted

Shohei’s 102mph 🔥

This was likely the greatest single season performance we will ever see. And probably won’t win MVP.

Shohei Ohtani 2022 AL rankings: Strikeouts per 9: 1st Strikeouts: 3rd Home runs: 4th Wins: 4th ERA: 4th Total bases: 5th OPS: 6th SLG: 6th RBI: 7th Runs: 8th Best baseball player on the planet and it is not close.

The greatest single season by one man in the history of this game took place this summer. An honor to follow. Unfathomable accomplishment.

Shohei Ohtani had two great seasons in one year. 🤯

Just a few of the things that Shohei Ohtani is the ONLY PLAYER EVER to accomplish Making history > Chasing history

This genuinely is the greatest athlete in North American sports history

With four pitching strikeouts tonight, Shohei Ohtani would reach 200 SO on the season. No player in MLB history has ever had 200+ strikeouts and hit more than seven homers in one year. ...also he has the fastest average sprint speed in the Majors!

Richard Mattox Reposted

I think where the MVP race gets misconstrued is when Judge & Ohtani are compared as hitters. Think of it like if Gerrit Cole had 34 homers & 89 RBI. And BTW, Ohtani’s been better than Cole this year.

It’s an absolute landslide. Ohtani about to lose MVP while having the greatest single season in MLB history

Ohtani OPS+ and ERA+ : 148 + 157 = 305 Judge OPS+ and ERA+ : 208 + 0 = 208

Shohei Ohtani: 2.58 ERA 1.04 WHIP 181 Strikeouts 33 Home Runs 86 RBI 11 SB Just name the award after him. There is NO comparison. If Judge hits 74 home runs, Ohtani should win the MVP unanimously.

Aaron Judge has by FAR been the best player in baseball this year, but does Shohei Ohtani's ability to dominate at the plate and on the mound make him more valuable? 🧐

This is utterly inconceivable

Since they lowered the mound in '69... Lowest SLG allowed w/RISP (50+ starts): Shohei Ohtani, .228 🤯 Fried, .299 J.R. Richard, .299 Palmer, .300 Pedro, .303 Clemens, .304 Nolan Ryan, .306 AND Shohei has the highest SLG w/RISP as a hitter (.635)! cc: @PitchingNinja

Still can’t believe there is no acknowledgement of the statistical insufficiencies of WAR when it comes to Ohtani. Otherwise I think you make a fair argument ⁦@mike_petriello⁩ OPS+ + ERA+ (what should matter in a post Ohtani league) isn’t even close mlb.com/news/shohei-oh…
