I loved guiding for the @sagatraveluk #spiritofadventure during their #StormCiaran forced break in @FalmouthTownUK on a harbour cruise on the ship's own tender and at the area's best subtropical garden @trebahgarden Even got a photo with the captain ๐Ÿ˜Š.

The British engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel took four attempts to have his design of Bristol's Avon gorge suspension bridge approved. At 101 m high it offers fantastic views onto the floating harbour of Bristol and the Avon gorge itself. @BBGuides @VisitBristol

The Genuan/Venetian merchant sailor John Cabot/Giovanni Cabotto looking across the Floating harbour of #Bristol onto his ship 'The Matthew'. In 1497 he detected the North-American West passage via Newfoundland and started the important fish trade. @BBGuides

What a treat to see a #garden in the winter. It really shows the beautiful design.

The team are working hard on reopening for 12pm today (Weds 18/1). There is still a lot of ice in the car park at the moment, but we will post updates as soon as we know more. Here are a few images of the garden taken by the team yesterday.

Interesting: Do you feel #cornish?

Which parts of Cornwall are most 'Cornish', according to 2021 census data on national identity? Highest nos declaring identity as 'Cornish only' were in PZ and Camborne; lowest in Newquay, Saltash and Torpoint.

#StPiran, Patron Saint of Cornwall and the Tin miners is celebrated on the 5th March. This statue is in the parish church of @VisitStIves just below the barrel roof, taking our prayers up to God in heaven. @BBGuides @StIvesBID @stivesbythesea @VC_B2B @UKTourismOnline

In Edinburgh I went to the Rosslyn chapel, a small gothic gem and featured in the film 'The Da Vinci Code'. The stone carving details are exquisit as is the colour of the stone itself. @VisitScotland @edinburgh_visit @Rosslynchapel @GREATBritain @BBGuides @BritishFilmLocs
