Realfavicon v2 is feature-complete! However the whole migration will only take place in a few weeks. There is still a lot to do: SEO review, testing... Rebuilding such a project is no easy task!

favicon.ico must die 💀 Why? When you declare it along with a brand new SVG favicon, Chrome takes the plain old favicon.ico, despite of its size and lack of dark theme support.
11 years ago, I created realfavicongenerator.net. It was the first favicon generator to really get the job done, not only creating a "favicon.ico" file and leave you there. Now is the time for a complete rewrite: next.realfavicongenerator.net. Still a few weeks to go!
Sometimes Google crops your favicon to make it fit a circle, sometimes it doesn't. Better design for both scenarios!
