First story club of the year with Mrs Grimley. Our inspiration this week is Oi Dog by Kes and Clare Gray. We are focusing on rhyming words #itstimeforarhyme
Hummingbirds learning about Bonfire Night and creating their own firework scenes.
Kites are looking at different types of batteries and collecting information about them, considering which batteries would be best for certain appliances. We are also using a simulator to explore voltage and current. #rpsy6 #science

Year 1 have enjoyed their afternoon using their sense of smell to decide what item was in the cup. They did a super job and identified most of the smells correctly.
RAVENS FLYING HIGH! Today we celebrated our first ‘Remarkable Raven’ awards. Only one pupil from each year group is chosen each fortnight, earning their very own badge, special certificate from Miss Nurse AND a visit from their families to see assembly too!
Times Table Champion alert! All across Ravensdale the pupils are busy perfecting their multiplication and division facts so they can pass a test with Miss Nurse and be rewarded with a very special badge to show their achievement. Today we have our first champion!

Year one have been investigating the characters of Little Red Riding Hood today and deciding what they look like and what their personality is like. Great sorting!
Kites are predicting whether circuits will work. They are rolling a dice 5 times to select their components then are trying to connect them to make a circuit and explain why it will or won’t work using their scientific knowledge. They are even drawing circuit diagrams! #rpsy6
