Rational Giants Takes
@RationalGMENFanLifelong Giants fan that’s tired of twitter users negatively impacting team morale. If we stick together and have patience, this regime can win us a Super Bowl.
Can Thibs adjust for once and NOT be so glued to the 8 man rotation!?!? Expand it to include Matt Ryan and Kolek Also wouldn’t mind seeing some minutes for Dadiet + Shamet when they’re back
Which one is better: -Giants sign a guy like Russ, become a fringe playoff team, and get eliminated round 1. Late draft pick. Take a flyer on a corner in draft -Giants commit to a bad QB room this year, we end up with top 3 pick, and take Ward or Shedeur
-WR/RB/TE all young w high upside -OL has flashed @ times -DL✅& may have more depth than we thought -Young LB room that performed well under wink -Might have more CB depth than we thought -FS of future Excited to see what this team can grow into with a young QB+CB1. SS&DT2 also
Just my opinion- but I’m okay with the Raiders holding pick 1 if they’re taking Shedeur The best option however would be we get first pick, trade it to Vegas for some picks and still wind up with ward. #WardTrain #Giants100
Cam Ward consistently makes unbelievable NFL throws and is amazing maneuvering the pocket. Every Shedeur highlight is him throwing to a wide open receiver or throwing bad balls that would get picked instantly in the NFL. Am I missing something?
Hyatt gonna be unlocked with a new QB. Remember the tweet
Two Jalin Hyatt routes on back to back plays. Each throw went to Nabers.
No matter what happens Spida burns is a blue chip player for this team moving forward
Brian Burns just recorded his 8th sack this season. He became just the eighth player in NFL history to record 7.5+ sacks in each of their first six seasons to begin their career. The other seven players to accomplish this feat are: Reggie White Derrick Thomas Jared Allen…
Young guys that have shown improvement the past couple of weeks: - Evan Neal - John Michael Schmitz - Elijah Chatman - Cor’Dale Flott - Tre Hawkins Excited to see these guys continue to get better! It’s a slow grind #TrustTheProcess
Dare I say Evan neal has looked improved these past few weeks? Not even 25 starts under this kids belt. Would be great if he could continue to develop
This THUG wife beater sure is an expert on all things illegal! msnbc.com/msnbc/amp/show…
Signing off for the day😌 Have a great weekend
I have slight concerns about Wards game but damn I really don’t care ab them. NOT comparing the two, but Mahomes was viewed as a risky pick due to footwork. Cam ward seems to have that “it” factor. The ability to stay calm and collected. Determined to make a play.
Ward on potential pressure of playing in this area: “I don’t really believe in pressure. I play football. Stay off the phone, that's all I can say. Enjoy your life, make plays, everything will take care of itself.” #giants
Social medias made losers too confident. This twink would get shoved in a locker pre social media. Make fun of who u want in private, but to do it publicly while not having the balls to show ur face. It is what it is- You’re a massive pussy that gets no play. Embarrassing
Shrink my fucking school. Who let Gorlock in??!?
Yet more young players with upside.
Most defensive stops among rookies through Week 14: 🥇 Jared Verse - 28 🥈 DRU PHILLIPS - 27 🥉 TYLER NUBIN - 22
The 2018 San Francisco 49ers roster that went 4-8. Notably with no QB, and a disastrous first draft for John Lynch (2 first round busts) How many Giants fans would have wanted to fire that regime because the wins didn’t show up early in the rebuild? #FoodForThought #Giants100
The replies look TOO similar to what people said about Engram, Hernandez, Andrew Thomas, Love, BJ Hill etc. Certain fans will somehow be mad we let players go when they’re young & developing, while ALSO wanting to get rid of the current players that are developing Vicious cycle
The biggest problem is comparing a roster that’s all in on the rebuild to rosters that are in win now mode. 40% of this roster is a 1st or 2nd year player. Give it 2 years & this team will be in a much better spot ESPECIALLY when they have a new QB, which elevates every position
Look at Flott man! Yet another guy that fans were ready to give up on. It’s reasonable that it will take 3rd round picks a couple seasons to develop. Patience. Schoen I’d the first GM with a vision of building a system with young players. That simply takes time.
Cornerback coverage stats x = Yards Allowed per Coverage Snap y = EPA Allowed per Target
2021 Giants: Bad team with a mid QB but lots of vets. Not really any good young players beside FS & RB 2024 Giants: Bad team w/ a stabilized (when healthy) OL, great young WR/TE/RB, a good young DL, LB room & a young secondary that flashes upside. New QB is otw Context matters!
I wouldn’t be opposed in the slightest to Will Johnson + Sam Darnold on this team next year.
