I’ve been posting on here less and less for the past year or so, as being on Twitter feels increasingly like wading through far right sewage. You can find me on the other usual social media platforms youtu.be/cUAP-fE81zs?si…

Incredible performance of ‘Losing my Edge’ by LCD Soundsystem… a masterclass in how to do dance music live. #Glastonbury2024

Quick picture of Oscar looking majestic to test out the camera on my new phone

The original version of Agadoo ('Agadou Doudou') from 1970 with lyrics in French about meeting a pretty maiden in Tahiti, tasting her forbidden fruits, then getting thrown in jail and losing a ukulele! youtu.be/lLpok_mB3_k?si…

There was magic in the air at last night’s @welovepulp Sheffield show. If you’ve got tickets for tonight, you’re in for a treat.

Seeing Pulp tonight for about the twentieth time. The excitement is palpable..

I’ve been to #Glastonbury twice; my most memorable time was probably 2008 when I DJ’d to a completely empty tent on the Saturday afternoon and later met ‘Spuggy’from Byker Grove (who was an absolute legend) somewhere near Shangri-La at around 3am

I was never that into them , but saw the Arctic Monkeys last night and they were amazing! Whilst everyone is getting nostalgic for the mid-00s Sheffield scene, here’s a playlist of Razor Stiletto classics, bangers & oddities that I put together a while ago open.spotify.com/playlist/0NFx7…

I’m only 1 episode into ‘Russia 1985-1999: TraumaZone’ but it’s completely mind blowing & captures the bleakness of late 80s USSR; From televised phone-ins with the KGB, scientists at Chernobyl using sellotape as PPE, Lada factories looted by gangsters, and terrible synth pop

So… Guess who’s just passed the @cim_marketing Chartered Marketer assessment? #CMktr

Continuing my odyssey into ‘70s pop culture, I visited the David Bowie Aladdin Sane exhibition at the Southbank Centre. Those of you that have known me since the ‘00s may recall that this particular album cover was a huge influence on my personal style back then .

ABBA voyage was pure science fiction. It was so unbelievably good that the opening bars of SOS (which is my favourite ABBA song) moved to me tears.

Just tried mead for the first time. Surprisingly, it’s the perfect summer drink.

I’ve always had a strange relationship with the music of ABBA. Weirdly enough, this was my first proper introduction to them, now I’ve got tickets to see holographic avatar versions of them perform. youtu.be/gnFT2eQy_Cw

Greetings pop pickers. This Sunday I’ll be playing some of my favourite tunes from the 1970s at the fabulous Seven by 7. This may or may not include the band Sparks, and Mouldy Old Dough by Lieutenant Pigeon.

Loved @martynware’s ‘Music For Total 3D Sonic Immersion’ event on Saturday. Only in Sheffield will you find yourself watching Steve Davis making modular synths sound like Hawkwind, and Martyn performing early HL track Dignity of Labour for (probably?) the first time since 1979 🎹
