If I'm Greg Sankey tomorrow, I'm on the phone with all 16 of my teams tomorrow trying to cancel any non-SEC Power 4 game for next year, make sure everyone gets an FCS game and scheduling as much of the MAC, CUSA and MW as possible. Strength of schedule clearly doesn't matter.

Do i think Alabama is a better team than SMU? Yes. But like Dan Lanning said “if you lose three regular season games? Shame on you.” The committee got it right.
Look, the SEC is still the best conference. No doubt some of their left-out teams are more talented than ones that got in. But you don't just get to lose to 6-6 twice, or home vs. 4-8, point to your logo and say "How dare you leave us out?"
Georgia played 4 road games this year. They played 8 games in the state of Georgia.
All the Ohio State fans complaining about Penn State being ranked higher (myself included). Remember, playoff losses are not supposed to hurt a team’s rankings.

Alabama’s bad losses were CONFERENCE games. I have no idea why people are trying to make this a referendum on nonconference scheduling.

Saban is talking about strength of schedule. While I agree, Bama’s two losses were rough.
Also, don’t preach Bama’s wins. They lost to two horrible teams. Not 1, but 2. I really think this isn’t a contest. To me, it’s between Bama and IU. And IU should be out.
