Let’s play musical chairs w/ density! When the music stops, add a substance to someone else’s 2D density column! 🎶 Are your density columns in the right order? Make a claim, and back it up with solid evidence and reasoning! 🔍 🤔 #doingsciencedaily @HumbleISD_CMS @Humble_2ndSci

Science is all around us! Have you ever made a density column, using dish soap, rubbing alcohol, corn syrup, water, and vegetable oil? It’s an exciting way to explore density! Which layer do you think floated on top? #doingsciencedaily @HumbleISD_CMS @Humble_2ndSci

Halloween Week Demo! On Wednesday, we used a homogeneous mixture (whole milk) and added food coloring and dishwasher detergent to make a heterogeneous mixture (“Tie-Dyed Brains”). The kids loved this as our daily Exit Ticket! #doingsciencedaily @HumbleISD_CMS @Humble_2ndSci

Note-Making in Science! We were scribes and messengers today! We analyzed important information and relayed it to partners, who then interpreted and recorded. We learned a lot about Elements, Mixtures, and Compounds! #doingsciencedaily @Humble_2ndSci @HumbleISD_CMS

Diving into the world of matter! Our students had a blast comparing solids, liquids, and gases during a hands-on lab. They also explored how kinetic energy transforms with each state of matter!#DoingScienceDaily @HumbleISD_CMS @Humble_2ndSci
