Week 1 as a NQN: -meds -discharged a patient -ward rounds -referrals -autism training -care planning -risk assessments -136 admission -led handover and risk meeting The imposter syndrome is very real, but I’m lucky to be working with a great nurse🙂

I just donated a special premature nappy to a UK hospital by tweeting #PampersForPreemies - show your support and do the same! 👶

This is my 13yr old Isabelle. She knows CF is life limiting and she has struggled not just physically but also emotionally this year. Her reaction speaks a thousand words. Thank you 💛 @MattHancock @NHSEngland @VertexPharma @cftrust #LifeSavingDrugs4CF

The ‘what can nurses do to help people stop smoking’ health evidence on Cochrane website shows that getting nurses to try and prevent smoking in patients has a positive effect, the likelihood of quitting smoking increased #PUNC19

Discussing with others the benefits of social media! There are so many benefits that they are not all mentioned! #PUNC19

a 4min video to share with those not using social media as an HCP (yet) youtu.be/I1J55INd0-w via @YouTube Social media is so useful for many reasons, from WPE to CPD! #PUNC19

Having strict privacy settings on Facebook can still result in your information being accessible, don’t post anything that could be a risk to breaching the NMC social media guidelines! #PUNC19

mybagladylife.blogspot.com/?m=1 ‘Another fine mess’ blog is SO interesting, really shows the journey of a stoma, so inspiring and well written #PUNC19

Ferguson (2013) has opened my eyes to how social media is intended to be used professionally with discussions such as the ones we take part in and the barriers that were found when testing using social media for these purposes #PUNC19

Today I have learnt that even with strict security settings there are ways that my information can be accessed. By only posting how you want to be presented as a nurse means that you will not be at risk of breaching the NMC code! #PUNC19

‘Personal branding is an introspective process by which you define yourself professionally, and it can serve as your pathway to professional success’-Philbrick and Cleveland. Not following the NMC code could result in not being able to register. #PUNC19

To take care of digital footprints its key to revise privacy settings on social media, to only post things that follow the NMC guidelines and to act professional online #PUNC19
