The conclusion I have is that the problem is not getting fixed. Even the suffering public can't move beyond debating center-state, AAP-BJP, stubble-vehicles-diwali. There is no real demand for action, it's all just partisan blame games. This smog is here to stay. Every year!

As Delhi hits headlines at 978 AQI (49 cigarettes), Pune quietly climbs to 180 (9 cigarettes, which babies also smoke) Every development project destroying our hills, rivers and trees is another step toward Delhi's numbers Cigarettes are a choice. This is Environmental Violence

49 cigarettes peene ke liye aapko daily ka 500-600 kharchna padega. Dilli walo ko yeh suvidha muft me mil rahi hai.

#VetalTekdi : Birders delight, builders dream

What makes #VetalTekdi a great birding spot? Is it the mixed habitat? Or the ease of access from around the city? Could it be the thrill of a possible rare sighting? For me it's a bit of this and a bit of that. Read on👇🏽 timesofindia.indiatimes.com/travel/destina… @VTBKS_Pune #IndiAves @TOItravel

These reserves lie beneath pristine forests, ancestral hills, and tribal homelands. The term "cutting-edge" shouldn't mean cutting through our most vulnerable ecosystems, tribal habitats, and cultural heritage. @TribalArmy @menakadoshi @PritishNandy

It is estimated that India has more reserves of Rare Earths than other mineral-rich countries like Australia, Canada and South Africa. These are necessary materials for cutting-edge technologies. I believe India has the best geology in the world. Sustainable and high-tech…

It’s becoming clear that we won’t stay below 1.5. Let’s make sure that our next target is 1.51 and not 2.0. It is crucial to recognise the catastrophic impact of each additional unit of CO2 on our planet, threating where we live, our food and our overall welfare. Climate policy…

In #Kenya, over 90% of electricity is generated by renewable energy, including #solar. Find out how people like barber John Masha Ngowa are benefiting: wrld.bg/WXiv50U8eBc #LivablePlanet

At least 1,773 coal, oil, and gas lobbyists have gained access to #COP29, outnumbering the delegations of nearly every country. Compare this to the most climate-vulnerable countries, who only have 1,033 combined delegates. This is a shameful injustice. theguardian.com/environment/20…

Governments everywhere must act immediately to protect citizens against the extreme weather which is increasing in intensity and frequency as the world’s climate breaks down. #ClimateActionNow!

Valencia's Palau de la Generalitat now stands defaced, its main entrance caked in mud and smeared with countless handprints. A visceral display of fury against the government’s response to the recent floods.

A reminder: the people in power don’t need conferences, treaties or agreements to start taking real climate action. They can start today. When enough people come together then change will come and we can achieve almost anything. So instead of looking for hope - start creating it.

In the New Zealand Parliament, Māori MP Hana Rawhiti took a historic step by tearing up a copy of the Indigenous Treaty Bill and performing the traditional haka dance. This protest highlighted the need to honor the 1840 Waitangi Treaty and amplified the voice of the Māori…

The Māori people, the original inhabitants of New Zealand, continue to fight for the reclamation of their identity and cultural heritage. Colonialism looted their land and disrupted their traditions, but their culture remains resilient.

Who should pick up the bill for climate damage? Many developing countries argue that the world's biggest polluters, and those that have benefited economically from it, have not paid their fair share of climate finance to date bbc.com/reel/video/p0k…
