University Hospital Galway has become the first hospital in the country to use a new innovative biological aortic heart valve, putting it at forefront of valvular heart surgery. The Avalus Ultra valve is a new generation in biological aortic valves designed by Medtronic.
Pleasure to be involved in such revolutionary innovation.

Just my opinion, but current developments in technology have been fantastic; however, if we are not developing technology to meet the needs and expectations of the service users then we face an uphill battle to achieve acceptability and indeed sustainability!
