(from a first principles perspective) Product discovery is about: - de-risking - confidence - decision making It's not about coming up with the perfect solution, creating final designs or detailed specs. A breakdown of each of these 👇

Product is a team sport, not a dictatorship. Product Managers are NOT: - the boss - experts in design - experts in engineering - the sole decision maker Instead Product Managers: - create clarity - connect the dots - inspire and empower - ensure work is valuable and viable

If you break Product Discovery down to a first principle it's about reducing risk. At the start of any idea or opportunity, uncertainty is high. There's a lot of unknowns = high risk. We then do activities (discovery) that help us gather info and test assumptions.
User testing is a great way to get feedback from users on your solution early. However, most teams I see don't plan this activity more than building something and inviting a handful of users for testing. Here's the template I use 👉productpathways.com/blog/prototype… I hope this helps!
Product Management is: Define where are we going (vision) > How we choose to get there (strategy) > Break down Outcomes > Discover customer problems (discovery) > Build-Measure-Learn (delivery) > Pivot bases on results
