Bus lanes can't come back soon enough on the ORR. 10-15 people blocking 100s of people in buses so a dude in a 7 seater SUV can travel alone back and forth everyday listening to self help audiobooks. SMH.

a good chunk of the indian mind can comprehend this, it's why some Indian cities have among the highest modal shares in developing asia and ofc then there's MMR, which trumps even some developed cities (note:- this is without walking modal share)

Traffic calming should be the default, built into every new street and reconstruction project.

This is reason for the govt to make cycling infrastructure ASAP. Thousands want to cycle as a means of fitness, commute, transport, socialisation but don't due to lack of safety. If Europe can have eurovelo connecting 1000s of kms, why can't India have a similar structure?

@AhmedabadPolice please arrest this carhole. 🙏🏼 This is how dangerous cycling in #Ahmedabdad has become. Please note both the cyclist wearing fluorescent jacket and lights on. Hope both are same.

A little slice of peace and tranquility. No honking, engines, etc. @UnboxingBlr @mod_foundation @srinualavilli @BBMPCOMM please retain the pedestrianisation of the street at least on weekends, everyone's visibly happier not having to worry about crashes. A people's street, truly!

The last tram will run on December 24th, after that they will not run any more trams. They have stopped 24/29, now it is the turn of 5 and 25. Will the tram disappear from Kolkata's heart like this?@lifeindia2016 @abhishekaitc @salimdotcomrade

Private vehicles are the biggest source of air pollution in Delhi and nearby metropolitan areas. The government needs to severely restrict private vehicles by implementing odd-even to improve the air quality. scroll.in/article/107588… #Carfree #stoproadexpansion @AAPDelhi

Road safety accounts need to watch this video 100 times before "recommending" pedestrians to walk facing traffic to escape car attacks. There is no escaping a car attacks! Even bollards are just a band aid solution in India.

Even pedestrians walking on footpaths are not safe? A #Speeding car hits the #pedestrians and runs away : #CCTV When there's a shortage of space, the driver crashes into the pedestrians instead of slowing down. (Disturbing visuals) #RoadSafety #HitAndRun #Mangaluru

Sharing the road with cars is a western concept. It's high time we as a society move towards banning cars completely from our roads since our fellow citizens refuse to learn to operate cars properly following road rules.

India is not like Europe. It's far more densely populated. It needs to be even more urbanist than Europe, or risk becoming a car hell.

If only it was upto the City Planner to decide things. Instead we have civil engineers leading transport, ofcourse with few exception agencies in the capital.

Don't blame a poor farmer for the poison you're breathing in, Delhi. The data is clear: Blame car owners. And city planners, who refuse to give the city a full bus fleet. scroll.in/article/107588…

Pollution control solution... this needs to be double decker if need be. Supplemented by BRTS, trams and cycle lanes.

Opinion: #Bhopal & #Indore #BRTS is gone—a win for car owners, a loss for everyone else. The dismantling of Indore’s iBus, the BRT system,  has been celebrated by many as a win for commuters including Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav. But let’s pause for a moment…

Blaming stubble burning is easy, but Delhi’s air crisis is a policy failure on reducing cars. With over 1 crore vehicles choking the city, where’s the plan for fewer cars, better public transport, or even emission/congestion pricing? The smog isn’t fixing itself:(…

and the solution you are suggesting is to dismantle BRTS. even the metro don't provide 1st and last-mile connectivity, so dismantle it too :P Instead of asking to improve on these aspects, let's remove BRTS. All those bus travellers will jostle for the same space with you.…

2) 🚌 in my area route don't run ac & 1's that hv don't run properly 3) no end to end connectivity 4) traffic hasn't reduced infact ⬆️ AFTER brts 5) Frequency for the 🚌 running is far less 6) EVEN TODAY amts has higher riders than brts I hv more points do u want me to list them?
