The Swinburne Bridge in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood will be closed temporarily on Friday 11/15 from 9:00 am. to 3:00 pm. to accommodate inspection. The temporary closure follows a previous closure in order to accommodate the second half of bridge inspection.

The Charles Anderson Bridge in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood closes to pedestrians and cyclists starting Monday November 4th. This closure was originally expected on October 28th, but has been pushed back to Monday. This bridge has been closed to vehicular traffic since 2023.

🚧 Today, we officially broke ground on the Charles Anderson Memorial Bridge Rehabilitation Project! 🏗️ This bridge, connecting Oakland to Schenley Park, will soon be safer for all. Shoutout to our partners @PennDOTNews, @USDOTFHWA, @spcregion Mosites, Michael Baker, and SAI!

.@PghDOMI has worked with @PennDOTNews, @USDOTFHWA, and @spcregion allowing us to kick off an expedited rehabilitation reopening the bridge in 2026. This is an important connection in our city of bridges, & I am grateful to the partners who have made this project a reality.

The Panther Hollow Bridge in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood is closed starting today. This is based on the recommendation of PennDOT and the inspection consultant we will be closing the bridge as a public safety measure until further analysis can be completed.
