Only the richest 4% of people pay Inheritance Tax. Only the richest 1.5% of farmers will pay HALF Inheritance Tax spread over 10 years. This is a protest funded by the obscenely wealthy who want to pay no tax at all.
Do people know what @jeremycorbyn experiences day in, day out? Outside @AntiRacismDay summit yesterday, Zionists pushed & shoved our security team to try to get at him when he arrived. They were filming, & shouting ‘GET OFF ME’ when THEY were the only ones committing assault 1/
“No amount of legal drafting can rule out citizens choosing to end their lives because they lack sufficient support to go on living” Warning for MPs set to vote on assisted suicide: ‘Please do not sleepwalk into something you will regret’ disabilitynewsservice.com/warning-for-mp… via @johnpringdns
In 2 weeks MPs vote on legalising assisted suicide In 2015: A huge majority voted NO In 2024: NHS & social care is broken Palliative/Hospice care is in crisis Covid policy & practise treated some lives as less valuable Now is NOT the time for MPs to vote for assisted suicide
Relatives of disabled people whose deaths were caused by the Department for Work and Pensions have welcomed the decision by a committee of MPs to relaunch an inquiry into the department’s years of safeguarding failures. #DWP buff.ly/4fLEglU
Benefits sanctions are cruel and counterproductive. There is no place for sanctions in any effective system. The government needs to make employment support personalised, flexible and voluntary. And it must properly involve disabled people at every stage of its design.
Employment support has failed disabled people for too long. And trust in the system is at an all-time low. We're pleased that the government has already announced plans for tailored, local employment support. But we need a more ambitious vision to achieve real change.
But the government has also announced its intention to take money out of our welfare system. These are contradictory positions ❌ You can’t want to support disabled people into work, while also chasing cuts.
In the coming weeks, we’re expecting to hear more about the ‘Get Britain Working’ plan 🧑🏭 There are at least a million disabled people want to work and could with the right support. With the right reforms, there is huge potential to be unleashed.
The government is preparing to announce the “biggest reforms to employment support in a generation”. We’re tired of hearing about arbitrary savings targets. So we’re hoping to see a plan that supports disabled people in a comprehensive, effective way. Here's what we know 👇🧵
Of course the reality is that Laurence Fox is a pathetic coward, who wets his pants at the first sign of danger. But none the less, the post below is inciting violence towards the police @metpoliceuk
With the hugely robust hate speech laws in the UK, you'd have to wonder how bigoted Laurence Fox is allowed get away with a post like this. Surely it couldn't be rich white privilege, could it 🤔
Some football-related clashes in the streets of Amsterdam can get Western elite and media on its toes but the bloodbath in the streets of Gaza ongoing for a year fell on deaf ears. This shows value of lives of thousands of women & Childern killed in the eyes of western elite.
The last time Trump was in office the conservative government was beginning its attacks on Disabled people & benefit claimants. Trump is again in office & the Labour government is beginning its attacks on Disabled people & benefit claimants. Politics never changes.
Today is #DisabilityPayGap day. The day when Disabled workers stop getting paid for the rest of the year. Yet, life costs £1,010 more each month for Disabled households than non-disabled households. We are calling on the Government to END the Disability Pay Gap.

What Isabel Oakshott said should be reported as a hate crime by disabled ppl, charities, campaign groups & advocates. What she said was deeply distressing & likely to cause direct & indirect harm to disabled ppl. cps.gov.uk/crime-info/hat… gov.uk/report-hate-cr…
I agree.
Reeves stating she ‘inherited’ Tories plan to reduce disabled benefits is insulting. Especially as they promised to scrap it in 2023 👇🏻 It was a white paper and doesn’t need to be implemented. I’m so tired of living in fear of destitution and homelessness disabilitynewsservice.com/labour-pledges…
There is something faintly ludicrous about the government announcing billions of pounds of cuts to disability benefits before working out how it is going to do it, akin to the Child Catcher wielding a big net and not caring who it is he traps.
