The fitness industry seems to be getting more toxic. If we take the time and not enjoy being spoon fed so much things might be different.
I've shared this with others over the years: I had a miscarriage in 2010. I had zero say over my own body & nearly bled to death over a cluster of cells w/a heartbeat in a Catholic-run hospital. It was disgusting how the nurses & doctors treated the situation.
Sometimes you need to hit the pause button on life & remind yourself why you lift. Why do you push yourself in the weight room? Why show up consistently day after day, month after month, year after year? What is it all for? What drives you?
We are each perfectly imperfect. What a gift! 💜
The foam roller & massage gun aren’t “bad” tools. They can be very helpful in certain situations. But, if you can’t workout WITHOUT using them…there’s a problem.
