From Dr. Crawshaw: You can protect yourself from the harmful effects of UV radiation by wearing sunglasses and selecting glasses and contact lenses with UV protection. Sunscreen should be applied to the face and eyelids before spending time outdoors.

JULY IS UV SAFETY AWARENESS MONTH! Most people know that prolonged exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light can harm our body. As eye care providers, it is our responsibility to remind our patients of the potential harmful effects of UV light on our eyes.

June is Cataract Awareness Month! Symptoms of cataracts include cloudy vision, poor night vision, glare and halos, sensitivity to light, prescription changes, needing brighter light for reading, yellow tint or reduced intensity of colors, and double vision. #cataracts #eyes
The POA office will be closed on Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. Normal hours of operation will resume on Tuesday.
