Women being pitched against women 🙄
I’ve never met a victim of domestic abuse who gave witty, polite or gracious one-liners during cross-examination. I’ve seen plenty broken and traumatised. Don’t compare a trial about skiing with sexual violence. And don’t pit women against each other.
“Periods are not unhygienic or unsanitary. Just use the word period.” - @RachGrocott4043 Euphemisms make it seem like it’s wrong to talk about our bodies. Talking in a way that is open, accessible & informative helps everyone. Periods are bloody normal. bit.ly/40jF3Dm
Amazing evening last night at the showing of #belowthebelt film raising powerful awareness of #endometriosis Powerful. Game changing. Heartbreaking. @MeetParla
Sorry to confirm that the party poopers are right and not drinking alcohol, going to bed early and exercising in the morning has drastically improved my anxiety, energy levels and a lot of my sleeping issues. So sorry.
📢 As the only UK charity funding across all of women's reproductive and gynaecological health, we're delighted to announce an investment of almost £1.5 million in new research with partners to improve #womenshealth. ⤵️ #InternationalWomensDay wellbeingofwomen.org.uk/news/wellbeing…
We donate 1% of profits to @WellbeingofWmen so more research like this can take place. Thank you for covering @hannahdev especially on #IWD2023
Researchers optimistic about potential new treatment for endometriosis If successful, it would be the first non-hormonal, non-surgical treatment for endometriosis, which affects roughly one in 10 women of reproductive age. @hannahdev @MyraAnubi theguardian.com/society/2023/m…
"It honestly blew my mind that there was this gender data gap." Ahead of #InternationalWomensDay, Olympic champion and #WomensHealth advocate Dame @J_Ennis discusses how this gap impacts women. Catch up on our panel discussion: ow.ly/f6qG50N9Mwu #IWD2023 #EmbraceEquity
Just insanity 🤯
Today, we publish the findings of our research with 24,000 parents which has found that THREE QUARTERS of mothers who pay for childcare say that it doesn’t make financial sense for them to work. That makes working completely pointless.
So interesting to see the increasing conversations around testosterone. It's been a taboo subject for so long especially for women with PCOS who's levels generally run high. We need to keep talking to break these stigmas around different hormones.
As we discuss the importance of testosterone to women’s health, particularly post menopause, here’s a graphic showing where testosterone receptors are all over our bodies. Let’s reclaim our hormone!
Let's hope this can make a difference for women and help make support easier to access
NEW 🚨 | The next Labour Government will require large employers to produce action plans to support women going through the menopause. Good for women. Good for business. Good for our economy.
We hope for the safe return of Nicola Bulley. Her family's statement highlights the levels of suffering that some women endure during peri/menopause. Her story will resonate with the hundreds of women who have written to us. Our thoughts are with her family. 💗
Daily reminders currently about women's health and how the stories are told about our mental health. Would this be shared if it were a man? independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-n…
Period pants are an absolute game changer and I just wanted everyone who has periods to know that
Missing periods with PCOS? Our multi contains the effective 40:1 inositol blend which has been shown to help regulate menstrual cycles
POV: you’re a womb and it’s about damn time for your period.
