I'm happy to announce that my latest novel "Downtime" is now available on Amazon for $14. It's a story about strangers trying to get home for the holidays while killing some time aboard a train. I hope you enjoy. amazon.com/gp/product/B09…

Before I go, I want to say thank you to those who have made the past week on here more tolerable. I'm planning to take a few weeks off to focus on my mental health and hopefully be happier for the holidays. I wish you luck. Stay safe and sane. Adieu.

Here's an essay I wrote called "You Can't Hate It Unless You Love It." I hope you like it. - thememorytourist.blogspot.com/2024/11/you-ca…

Fun reminder that I'm also over here. If you are too, let me know below and I'll do my best to follow back.

This is from The Last Party and I think I'm probably one of the only people who really likes it. He parallels the rise of Clinton with his struggles to get sober. It's very early 90s but I love its place in time.

Looking back at this past month and I don't know... I feel like I was taking the election *sorta* well.

I low-key miss people doing Bane impressions. The early 2010s were such a special time.

Christopher Nolan says the scene he’s most proud of in his entire filmography is the opening plane sequence in The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

It sucks that Max has pretty much every A24 movie under the sun but somehow Showing Up falls outside of their contract. Hasn't Kelly Reichardt been through enough?

Reading David Foster Wallace's cruise essay and the way he describes room service is very relatable. The idea of someone constantly cleaning up after you is anxiety inducing and I never liked feeling that level of special.

Watching Synecdoche New York and realizing I need to listen to that score. It's so good. Been vibing with Jon Brion a lot this year.

I have lost 15 followers since November 5. Guess that's sign of the times, whether for me or the royal we.

So I wrote a piece called "You Can't Hate It Unless You Love It." I hope you appreciate it. Took a week to figure out how I wanted it to go. thememorytourist.blogspot.com/2024/11/you-ca…

Wait, they're not including Pecker? That was just on there two months ago. Bummer. But good on them for getting such refined tastes on their platform.

I hope the contestants are lined up A to Z before we meet their mothers.
