Born on 30 Oct, György Ránki (1907-1992) was a student of Kodály and became a prolific composer in various genres including film music. His most popular opera King Pomade premiered in 1953 at #OperaBudapest. He reworked it later, and it has been part of the repertoire ever since.

In memoriam Imre Dózsa (1941-2024). Internationally renowned soloist, ballet master has passed away at 83. Apart from being influential personality in Hungarian ballet, his international career took him to Sweden, Germany, UK, USA, and Chile. His memory will live on.
