We were honored to welcome Senator Bostar to this months Union Meeting. Because of his efforts in this past session, The First Responders Recruitment and Retention Act of 2023 became law. We couldn't be more thankful for his support of Firefighters and First Responders.
Fire fighters across the US every day start their shift knowing that there is a chance that it could be their last - like the 343 on FDNY. Today, we place flowers at the fire fighter memorial on our city's riverfront, saddened by their loss but strengthened by what they stood for
Congratulations to Local 385 member and one of our strongest mental health advocates, Justin Cooley, who moments ago was just inducted into the Ancient Order of the National Society of St. Florian by the First Responders Foundation at their 9/11 Luncheon of Honor!
Twenty-two years ago today, 2,977 victims - including 343 FDNY fire fighters - lost their lives in a terrorist attack. Today, like every day, we mourn the loss of those killed and draw inspiration from the bravery shown by so many on that day.
Great day at the Omaha #PRIDE Parade. We are so proud to be a part of such a great community!!
