If protecting farming was what they wanted, they'd tax sale of agricultural land. Or remove IHT exemption if the land is sold within ten years or used for non-agricultural purposes. But that's not what they want. We all know that.
Sadly very few of the Labour Cabinet have ANY understanding of what is involved in making a living on a small farm. The new Labour MP’s in rural areas should now know they will only have one term in Parliament unless they grow spines and speak out !
