So whatever your feelings about the US election are the best insurance for all our security is to invest in our own defence & security right across Europe. We donโt need ridiculousโEuropean armiesโ or an EU defence rival to NATO. We need to all invest 3% GDP across the Alliance.

It's very simple. Labour MPs need to stop attacking the likes of Sunak and Badenoch and Cleverly and Patel, actually put their money where their mouths are, and elect a leader who isn't a white man. Until then, they should shut up about the importance of political diversity.

During my time in Parliament and getting to see @Jeremy_Hunt both as a campaigner and constituency MP, as well as the Chancellor, I canโt praise the man enough as a person and politician. The Conservative Party will need to tap into his talent to help rebuild in opposition.
