The OT team have been successful in receiving CWP charitable funding for a large selection of sensory items. The initiative plans to support service users in managing sensory processing. Research has indicated that there is a link between sensory processing and mental health.

Patients on Oaktrees made macrame gonks this week! Gonks are curious little creatures who are said to protect families and give good luck to those who treat them well! #occupationaltherapy

Many people don’t realise that cucumbers are technically fruits!They develop from the flowering part of the plant & contain seeds, fitting the botanical definition of a fruit. Educating patients about National Fruit Day was a fun way to engage them in healthy eating & nutrition🥒
