I don’t think Sheldon Keefe is going anywhere.They just signed him for 2 years and this deal hasn’t even started. It is likely 3-4M per. It isn’t going to matter who coaches until we can rid some of our cap after JT is done and Marner money is spent on D. Need a true #1 goalie.
Why can Mitch Marner not perform in the meaningful playoffs with the talent he has? Is he too small? I played lacrosse with smaller talented guys and they were at their peek during playoffs…. so I don’t believe it is a size thing. Is it the inner drive to win? Thoughts!
Fire John Tortorella now. He has become bigger than the team itself. He has verbal diarrhea and can’t refrain from showing his emotions on the bench. This is the NHL not some Tier 2 league in a remote part of North America. John you are looking foolish!
Why is Keefe continuing to play Brodie…. he can not compete at an NHL level consistently. Giordano was also a nice signing, but we now have better, younger options now. When does this nonsense stop??
How much longer is Tre going to let this goaltending situation simmer while the Leafs keep giving away points. Jones has been adequate against lower dwelling teams but boy we are in trouble if we are waiting on a rookie Holl to come back after a high ankle sprain and be stellar.
GM Chris McFarland in Colorado better find some goaltending or he will be looking for another gig. All goalies are below a .900 save percentage. Brutal. McFarland has a hard time managing a salary cap.
One of biggest issues is evaluating talent that is in the organization. So many good players coming up thru the minors and also the NHL team have either been traded or let walk away. Like McCann, Connor Brown, Hyman, Verheage and more. We then go and spend picks to replace them.
I have Center Ice hockey package in Canada and can see every NHL game…. every night. Here in Florida the Centre Ice hockey pack’s thru Infinity is “cherry picked”. Being a Leaf fan you get about 2/3 of their games but the remainder they “sell separate” on ESPN+. Be in or be out.
I’m a huge Leaf fan but boy do we need to get this Too Many Men fiasco figured out. At the end of the day it is the lack of discipline of the player going “onto the ice” who is at fault. However it is the coach who runs the bench and up to him to get it figured out and “coach it”

I’m hearing this morning that several NHL owners are “very concerned and unhappy” with Gary Bettman’s leadership. I think even the owners realize it’s time for a change in the NHL and culture only changes from the top down. It is time to FIRE BETTMAN. 1/
