#Francine is bringing life-threatening storm surge for portions of the upper Texas Coast bringing heavy rainfall & flash flooding today into Thurs. Follow guidance from local officials and prepare now ‼️‼️@OPUCTX has a list of storm resources at opuc.texas.gov.

As #Francine approaches, a quick safety reminder ⚠️: During an outage, never connect a portable generator directly to your building’s electrical system. This can cause electricity to back feed into power lines. Only use portable generators in well ventilated areas.

4pm CDT: #Francine quickly strengthening. Hurricane Warnings and Storm Surge Warnings issued for portions of Gulf Coast. Preparations to protect life and property should be rushed to completion. See hurricanes.gov for the latest updates

Coastal residents preparing for #Francine, check out this flooding preparedness tip. #txwx

#Francine is forecast to bring heavy rain. Should flooding occur, don't turn off your natural gas at the meter. It should be left on to maintain proper pressure in the natural gas piping and to prevent water from entering the lines. See more safety tips. CenterPointEnergy.com/StormCenter
